HOT – room for audiences is a program organised by STEAM ROOM which creates space for discursive practices around contemporary dance, choreography and performance.

HOT invites you to work collectively towards a different experience of the relation between the artwork, the audience and the artist. The aim of the program is to give space for every person interested in dance, choreography and performance for  experiencing, practicing, discussing and analysing.

STEAM ROOM understands audiences as the observers that manifest their interest about what is being shown through questioning, reflecting, enjoying or simply being. It is more than enough to just be interested in dance, choreography and performance to participate in HOT – room for audiences.

HOT proposes three different formats that promote dialogue, discussion and sharing:

SHARING PRACTICES

Invited artists will physically share and explore their artistic practices with the locality.

MEET THE ARTIST

Invited artists will present/perform their artistic practices to an audience followed by a public discussion where we will engage in the means of what has been presented.

READING CIRCLE

With structured reading practices, we will engage in the analysis of theory approached through contemporary dance, choreography and performance.
